Listed below are the improvements and bug fixes that were incorporated in FltOps 330.
No-fly listing checking
FltOps now supports automatic checking of passenger manifests against the TSA no-fly list. Unfortunately, the TSA no-fly list must still be downloaded. Once downloaded, it is imported into FltOps, and checking is automatic.
Trip Editor enhancements
A number of refinements were made to the Trip Editor, including:
The Passenger Manifest was re-designed for improved usability. In addition, provisions were added to accommodate automatic no-fly list checking.
Expense logging was added - see below for more info.
A new Trip Editor menu was added to the Main Menu. Any time the Trip Editor is active, a Trip Editor menu pad appears just to the left of the Window menu pad on the Main Menu, giving you access to functions that were previously available only via right-click menus.
Copy trip feature - this feature makes a copy of the displayed trip and is available from the Trip Editor menu.
Expense logging
We've added flight segment by flight segment expense checking. To log expenses, select Expenses from the Trip Editor or Itinerary page shortcut menu. Any data that you had previously entered in the "fuel cost" or "user $" fields was automatically migrated to the new expenses data table. Reports on expenses are available via the FltOps Report Writer.
Crewmembers window
We added an optional "Hold entries" field to the Flight Log Editor to assist in tracking instrument currency, and the number of hold entries in the previous 6 months is automatically calculated and displayed on the Currency page of the Crewmembers window.
We also added a Social Security Number field, which is displayed on the Documents page of the Crewmembers window.
Customer window
The Passengers page was renamed to the Contacts page, and a "key person" field was added. This allows you to describe a contact as either a "passenger" or a "key person" to more easily manage non-passenger contacts associated with a customer. The Contacts page has an option group above the Contacts list that allows you to view passengers, key persons, or all contacts associated with the customer.
Maintenance reports
Two new reports were added: ADs and SBs. These reports display ADs and SBs, respectively, for the selected aircraft. In addition, all maintenance reports may now be emailed in pdf format.
Inspections window
An advanced search feature has been added to assist in locating records.
Fuel Vendor Quality Control
FltOps now has provisions for tracking fuel vendor quality control audits. The fuel vendor quality control program is enabled with the Fuel vendor quality control program applies checkbox on the Company Options page of the Company Information and Preferences window. Once enabled, you are able to change fuel vendor status on the FBO/Handlers page of the Airport Information window, and fuel vendor status is automatically printed out on the Trip Sheet so that the flight crew knows of the fuel vendor's status.
Scheduler
The Scheduler (Gantt) will now optionally plot maintenance just before the trip that will cause an item to be overflown, giving you a visual cue that maintenance needs to be scheduled. In addition, the Schedule Views window has been re-designed to make it easier to define, edit, and manage your schedule views.
